I had one of those moments last week when something dawned on me. Ever since I took the Blogging Your Way e-course by Holly Becker, I’ve been thinking about my voice as a blogger. {What makes me unique as a blogger? Do I really love blogging? What do I have to offer my audience?}
I have to admit, I was surprised by my answer.
I searched my mind and my heart and realized that I do love blogging, but maybe not quite the way I’ve been doing it.
The reason I couldn’t find my voice as a blogger was because I wasn’t using it.
You see, my friends would tell you that I have a really honest, ironic, acerbic humor that threads it’s way throughout my conversations. I’m a communicator. I’m a teacher. And… I’m a writer. I can’t tell you why this surprised me, but it did.
For as long as I can remember I’ve loved reading, and some of the most memorable times of my life have somehow centered around reading, writing, or English studies.
I also love teaching. Sharing what I’ve learned through my studies or experience and passing it on to others to add to their success makes me happy.
So. I’ll be writing here more. And breaking out my humor more. And teaching a bit more. And just being me more, I guess. Instead of trying to fit in or do what other people already do.
You can already see a evidence of this in my previous post on fitness goals.
What about you? What are you doing to be uniquely you this year? Tag and share or comment I’ll stop by and check it out. Because the world needs more people to be themselves. For real.

Over the past two years my blog definitely lost it’s voice as I worked harder. I have streamlined and re-dedicated myself to writing more often and bringing more of my own experiences back into the words. Thus far I am feeling really good about it and remembering how much I enjoyed the routine.

I know, right? Between efficiency, and trying not to offend people with my sense of humor, I lost my unique voice. Not good. I need to go back and add your blog to my bloglovin’ feed! ^_^
