I debated on whether to post this, and the other day realized that I had been making my personal posts to the main website page – facepalm – so it looks like I haven’t updated here in a while. Oh, well. Bygones.
Basketball and quiz team practice have started respectively for each of our boys. This means lots of running back and forth and tag teaming with my husband (I couldn’t make it without him being a solid support and committed to sharing the load evenly) to make sure that everyone gets where they need to be at the right time. We’re all adjusting to the schedule changes and shuffling around commitments to make things work. I find myself in a season of change – for the good.
It’s also a time of seeking out high schools and going through admissions processes for our oldest. Things are very different when you live in a big city (for me coming from a small town), and for me that means doing new things every day that I never dreamed I’d need to do. It’s good, and challenging.
Work with bluebird chic is growing busier! And is amazing. Opportunities are opening for things to grow, regular magazine commissions have started to build a steady flow, and I’m adding teaching on business and design coming in the next month! It’s all very humbling, and I’m excited at the doors that are opening.
I posted on Instagram the other day – when God opens a door and you take a tiny step of faith, it’s amazing how the universe responds. I really believe that.
