Raise your hand if you love giving little handmade somethings for the holidays? I mean, I love spending on artisan and lovely, thoughtful gifts, but there’s nothing quite like a little something handmade to add to a heartfelt gift for the holidays.
This month’s issue of Mollie Makes is available in the UK (and hopefully here in the US, soon – though I do sometimes snag the digital version see and read the lovely articles) and features handmade gifts for giving! I have two project DIY’s featured: quilted slippers and a reversible headband. Both are fairly simpler projects that you could easily put together in an afternoon.
What handmade projects do you love to give and receive? I’m thinking about a pair of these slippers for my mom. I’ve also loved tote bags, photo albums, handmade jewelry, small quilts for curling up on a cozy evening, and of course knitwear like hats, scarves, and mittens.
Will you be making for the holidays? It’s always so hard for my to wrap my brain around the fact that it just two short months (and less!) until the holidays are here which means it’s time to get cracking on the gift making and holiday projects. Good luck on all of your holiday projects!
