Being able to break out ALL of my favorite soup recipes. We’ve had temps down into the 50’s this week in South Florida, and that’s very nearly as cool as it gets. Perfect for soups. And we’ve reveled in them every night – chicken tortilla, meatball tortellini, creamy potato with leftover New Years ham, chicken and dumpling, and for Thursday? Cheeseburger soup with biscuits. Sigh. It literally warns this Midwestern girl’s heart.
Side note on the cooler weather? I used to scoff that this? 50’s? This isn’t cold! Until… I lived in a concrete building with no heater. A couple of nights in the 50’s outside and our home inside temps can be in the low 60’s. A bit too chilly for my liking! Most homes around here aren’t even equipped with heaters because the cooler temps typically only come a few days every year. So we bundle up in our down comforters. (But not currently helping my cold!)
