It’s always so amazing to see the work of women who put their heart and soul into their businesses, hobbies, and creative endeavors. The things that catch my eye when looking for my ambassadors – women who work hard, are willing to put themselves out there for what they love and believe in, support other women, and are just, well, all around amazing! Every one of the women on the team are all of these and more, and I’m excited to share a bit about brand ambassador Jamie Diger with you today!
Jamie is a mother of two living just north of San Francisco in beautiful Marin County. She is the owner of Pine and Poppy Photography and takes great pride in documenting family memories and capturing the beauty of pregnancy. Her style is bright, fun and candid, and Jamie’s silliness behind the camera is sure to make even the most serious toddler (or adult!) crack a smile. You can follow her everyday adventures over on Instagram.
How long have you been a photographer?
I’ve been shooting professionally for just over three years but have been pursuing photography as a hobby on and off since my early teens.
What made you decide to pursue photography?
After my kids were born, I had a renewed interest in photography and some super cute little models to help me practice. I spent a few years dreaming of having my own business, and when they started preschool, I was ready to jump in and help families document the same memories and milestones I’d been capturing for my family and friends.
How has your photography evolved over the years?
My business has grown and changed over the past few years, but my style goals have mostly remained the same. I love to shoot kids and families in authentic ways. I would describe my style as warm, candid, and simple.
What kind of camera(s) do you own and what role do they play in your life?
I have two digital cameras- a Nikon D810 and a D610. I’ve started shooting film as a hobby, so I also have two film cameras- a Nikkormat FTN and a Nikon F100. They all get used at least once a week! The Nikkormat has the most sentimental value because it’s my Dad’s camera, but they are all important to me and all serve different purposes.
What’s your favorite thing about your bluebird chic strap?
The Bluebird Chic strap that best represents my style is bold blue berry branch. Picking a favorite from this season’s line was next to impossible, but I love the look of the gold on navy. All the designs are gorgeous, but more importantly, these scarf straps are a big upgrade in comfort.
