This week’s ambassador spotlight shines a light on Tricia Romo of Made With Love Crafter. Read on to find out more about Tricia, see some of her work, and which bluebird chic strap is her personal favorite! (For this week, her pick will be available at a discounted rate in the shop.)
Tricia Romo is a Navy wife and mom of 3. Documenting life is incredibly important to her. She has been scrapbooking for years and more recently started using a traveler’s notebook to journal and scrapbook in. She is on the planner design team at Cocoa Daisy and is a teacher at Big Picture Classes. Photography has become more than a passion to her, it has become the extension of her memories that her family will cherish for years.
How long have you been involved in memory keeping?
I have been a memory keeper/planner for over 10 years.
What made you decide to pursue memory keeping?
When I was growing up my mom couldn’t afford to take many pictures of me. I have maybe a handful of photos from my childhood. I vowed that once I had kids I would do as much memory keeping as I could. That started a passion for photography that has only grown over the years. I love to photograph our adventures as a family and I can’t wait for them to share them with their kids one day.
How has your memory keeping evolved over the years?
With the help of better technology my memory keeping has evolved greatly! Now I can print my pictures at home which gives me no excuse to not have them ready to put in my journal. I also use apps to edit and resize my photos to make it even easier. There are so many resources available to us now to make memory keeping easy and fun.
What impact do you want your memory keeping to have on others?
I love to share my photography and memory keeping ideas online to help inspire others. Journaling has become something I love and I hope that when people see how easy it can be to put a picture and words on a page they will do it too. I also incorporate my memory keeping and journaling into my planner as another way to share my creativity.
What’s the best part of being a memory keeper?
The best part of being a memory keeper is the vast amount of finished journals and albums you have to look back on. We love to sit down as a family and flip through the pages of past albums. We even love to flip through my old planners and see what we were doing in life years ago. Time really does fly and the only way to slow it down is to keep a good record of it.
What’s your favorite thing about your bluebird chic strap?
I love florals as you can see in one of the pictures I provided. I love to paint them so when I saw this strap I had to have it.
The thing I love most about my strap is how comfortable it is! It’s so soft on my neck and makes carrying my camera easier so I actually bring it with me! No excuse not to have it now for capturing our family trips.
