Almost every morning that the boys rolled out of bed at grandma and grandpa’s house last week, they requested scrambled eggs and toast for breakfast. Why is this especially awesome? Not only did the eggs come from the farm – but they actually came from my aunt and uncle’s farm.
I chose to crop this image very closely to focus in on the story only, and not the kitchen that surrounds my mom. I didn’t move a thing on the counter – the egg carton already sat at the angle in the photo, and I loved the idea of capturing my mom’s hands out of focus (ahh! beautiful bokeh!) to push home the idea of “handmade” or “home cooking”.
