If you receive my email newsletters, you may have opened one last night that I sent out sharing something new and exciting! If you’ve been looking for a bag to stash your camera, tablet, and essentials in when you’re out and about, you might be interested in taking a peek at this one! Not only is it just roomy enough, but it’s also padded to help keep your equipment safe. And the outside is made with waxed canvas for water resistance.
[waxed canvas camera bag, fund on etsy campaign]
I’ve been working for a while on wanting to bring a camera bag to the shop for you that would be stylish, but understated – and definitely durable. That’s always on the top of my list. I’ve loved being able to slip everything that I need for an afternoon out into this compact bag. Curious to know more?
(Can you see my sunburn from the beach the day before on my arm? Huh. Yeah. That’s what I get for taking a day off! Plus, I honestly use the quiet at the beach to brainstorm ideas.)
One of the cool things about this bag is that it’s a part of something brand new on etsy. They’re launching a program called “fund on etsy” to help small business owners raise funds to grow their businesses. It’s basically this cool system to test out a new product. So while you get to check out and try something new, you also get to see how the funds raised from the new product go right back into growing my handmade business, as I’m looking to invest in an industrial level sewing machine. I say that’s winning all around.
You can see a bit more about the new “fund on etsy” program in this tidbit on one of my favorite blogs, fast company. Or here on etsy.
Or maybe you’re not in the market for a camera bag right now, but could use a cute clutch to carry the bare essentials with you. One of the “campaign” options is this fun clutch that I created using waxed canvas and a pretty, custom made watercolor print that I created using my own artwork. [Shh. The inside has a pretty pinkish watercolor ombre.] Cute for afternoons, or an evening out, I think!

Can you tell that I loved working with the waxed canvas? Yep! If you’ve got any questions, shoot me an email, or comment here on the post to maybe just wish me luck!
I’d love to hear from you! If you think this is something that might be for you, I’d love for your to stop by check out the campaign. And even though I hate being one of those “only available for so long” kind of posts, that’s how etsy has things set up for now. The deadline to place a pre-order is August 15. Also, if you just feel like following along to see the progress of the campaign, or sharing with anyone whom you think might be interested, you can choose the button under the photo for the etsy listing that says “follow campaign” and you’ll see updates when I post them!
Have a lovely Wednesday!
