I love sewing. I really, really do. It’s one of the things in life that takes me to my happy place. There’s just something extremely satisfying about watching individual pieces come together to create something that’s magical. That’s probably why I’ve chosen to build my handmade business around sewing. It’s something I actually enjoy doing…
All that to say, one of my personal goals for this year is to sew at least one project per month just for me. I specifically want to get back to making more clothing for myself.
Why, you ask? Oh, boy. Is it bad to say that I’m a bit of a design snob when it comes to clothing? And material. Material is so important. I look at (and work with) lovely fabrics that I curate and purchase for my shop products all day long, and yet I don’t have those types of things filling my own closet. It’s time to give a little bit back to me. As an investment. Because I represent my business, and I want to be able to do that fully on a daily basis. And because I know it’ll make me happy! That’s a good enough reason right there.

I also have a beautiful collection of books featuring so many great projects that I’ve never even touched. Oops! Time to change that! I can’t wait to get started with my first project. (Still deciding between the left and right blouse in the top photo, since I need tops the most! Ha!)
I’ll be posting my project with a review at the end of each month! I’d love to have you join along with me and share your personal sewing projects this year! Comment or link me up so that I can check them out!
Happy Friday!
