In the midst of all the craziness that is our Monday, I managed to swing by the local hardware store and grab the paint that I was looking for to update the studio space. (This is going to feel like a different home when we’re done – between all of the new tech, paint, wall arrangements, furniture, etc. So cool.)
It’s really just an update on the current palette – we’ve got latte colored walls right now, and we’ll be switching over the the bistro white. I’m painting my workbench an espresso brown to match the other furniture already in the room, and our kitchen walls are already a pretty ocean blue. Sort of an update that coordinates with existing pieces. I can’t wait to share more progress photos as we go! I’m hoping to get going on painting tomorrow, after I have a chance to pack things up neatly to make the process easier.
And I just wanted to take a moment to offer some words of encouragement. It has slowly occurred to me over the course of the last couple of months that I’ve fallen into allowing myself to think too small. Don’t just dream big dreams, teach yourself to think big thoughts. Start small, but always have a plan to reach out and touch those stars. Grow them from a tiny seed to the great oak that pushes you to your true potential.
For me that meant taking a few more leaps. Pushing myself to that scary place where I’ll be growing and learning and changing. And even though it’s a little bit scary, it’s a whole lot more… exciting. Because it’s one more step in the direction that I want and need to go.
