The painting has commenced! Yay! And after a second coat, it looks great:
I’m still planning to trim out the edges one more time with a brush so that it’s all evenly coated. Sadly, it’ll bother me if I leave it…
I still love this espresso color for my furniture. And the counter height table looks stunning now that I’ve painted over the old blonde wood.
This was the third light coat I added. I’m considering one last one. Maybe. And a little bit of sealant, since I use all kinds of paints and inks on the table. At least the dark brown will hide everything beautifully!
Lastly, I tested out the spray paint color that I chose for the vintage shelves on the back where I would be safe if I absolutely hated it. I’m going to have to work on my technique to avoid drips! Yikes. But I do love the color. The shelves will be painted last. After I can move everything back in to the walls. I need to be able to put away a few things before I unload these shelves. At the moment I feel like I just have walking space. And sitting space by the computer!
My hope, (and prayer), and plan is to have everything put back together by the weekend, so I’m free to start fresh and get back to work next week in my newly updated and purged space. I have so many new fabrics, designs, and pattern ideas that I haven’t been able to get to through all of the clutter, and I can’t wait to get back!

If you spray paint make sure you let it sit for a week before you put anything at all on it for the paint to harden…word from experience. It looks nice. Can’t wait to see it all done. And I love that blue color too.
