Today I’m reminding myself of things to be thankful for. It’s been two weeks of sickness, trying to adjust to new Autumn schedules, and settling in after travel. {Anyone else experience backlog when they take time off? Not just here, but my husband, as well. There’s a lot of stress on him when he comes back, and it makes taking extended travel tough.}
So today I’m reminding myself that I’m really thankful for everything that I have, and we have together. The work part doesn’t normally stress me out – because I love my job and my business, but having sick kiddos on top of everything was pretty tough. We actually all came down with it this time around. I’m celebrating everyone being back to health today.
{enjoying a pumpkin spice frappicino, of course!}
I’m also reveling in the advent of Autumn. As a kid, Autumn meant mom’s homemade pumpkin cake and cookies, and lots of apple desserts. Chilly evenings called for homemade chili or other types of soups. So even though we’re holding steady in the 90’s, I’ll crank up the air conditioning and pretend.

YAY ! to everyone being healthy. 😀 My hubby retired from the Air Force 4 years ago, he works for the National Park Service now. Every time we have a long weekend or he takes leave, it gets harder and harder for him to go back to work. He’s ready to retire again. LOL Love vacations but getting back into the swing of things is hard.
