A collection of link to things that have caught my eye around the interwebs this week.
Tales of a Tract Home: Tips for Staging Your Home to Sell by Jen Gallacher. Yes. We’re getting ready, slowly and surely to sell the place that we’re currently in. A lot of the things that Jen brings up I had thought through already, but she brought ups some very good points that I hadn’t! And with housing markets still being a bit slow, I’m taking every bit of her advice to heart. Statistics show that homes that are prepped and “staged” sell WAY faster – even when the market isn’t moving the way you’d like! You can also see the final tour of her home (and the photos that she gave to her realtor) for listings here. It looks amazing. Can’t wait to apply what she’s given to our home as we’re already checking of that fix-it list, painting, and collecting furniture for staging. So good.
Anatomy of a Blog Post Part 1 & Part 2 by Elise Blaha Cripe. You might have noticed I’ve linked to her a bit lately. There’s a reason. And she shares a couple of great posts on creating great blogging content here that I’m taking to heart myself. I’m slowly evolving a signature style (you’ll see a BIG update coming to the blog this summer), voice, and a list of the types of posts that I love to write, along with what’s typically the most popular. Between that and writing a schedule and putting a system in place, I’m able to do so much more, love what I do, and not stress about it. Geez. That sounds pretty awesome…
You Shouldn’t Have a Business if you have Small Children by Alicia of Profit First Photography. How many times have I heard this? Or better yet, felt it? I love what she has to say in response. It’s pretty much perfect. She’s pretty amazing and I admire her.
Pursuing Happiness When it’s Already Within You by zen habits. All about choosing happy. I’ve been working on this myself A LOT lately. I really think a combination of both options he gives leads to the most happiness. Determining on the inside, and directing your focus on helping other + having a positive impact.
This color combo by design seeds. Even though it’s a few months old, I happened upon it again this week and love it…
