A collection of links to things that have caught my eye around the interwebs this week…
This funny post about the Calvin and Hobbes creator returning to comics strips via Pearls before Swine. I loved Calvin and Hobbes as a kid, and this blog post caused me to fall down a rabbit hole on the internet (Did you know that you could view comic strips online? Geez. That’s awesome.)
And you know the guy that took down the Seattle college campus shooter? Random strangers have bought out his wedding registry and paid for his honeymoon. Rock. On. Read more here on buzzfeed. Totally gave me warm fuzzies. Turned something really crappy into a kind of good.
These gorgeous planners and journals from minted. Minted supports indie artists, so if you’re looking to buy, it’s a great place to shop.
Five new books for Sunday reading – I’m a bookaholic. There. I said it. Thank God that’s not a bad thing. A couple of these were already on my list, but I’ll looking the other up as well. I always love poppytalk.
7 ways to live well this weekend post by Henry Happened, a blog I’ve newly been following.
Hope you’re enjoying a great weekend! We’re off to see Maleficent in a little bit – oh, and can I pass on what I’ve learned about finding good movie ticket deals? Best price is before noon – tickets cost much less than an evening show costs here ($8.50 vs $14) which is a pretty big saving for a family.
Happy weekend!
