Each Sunday I take a moment to put together a post that rounds up some really fun links to all kinds of randomness that’s catching my eye on the interwebs. Everything from DIY’s to health news to uplifting words and inspiring scrapbook pages. So here’s to this week’s “issue”.
The Just Add Jeans collection patterns from Pattern Anthology. – Um. Yes. Everything about this is awesome. Because that’s how I live. Great fitting jeans + a “fancy” top. I have so many variations on white tops, it’s both awesome and shameful.
Breaking Through the Mundane from The Yellow Table – Oh, how I love these thoughts on the sacredness of the every day rituals to care for our home, self and spirit. Adding this to my reading list, for sure.
The Value of Hard Work on the After the Jump podcast from Grace Bonney on designsponge. – So true. Everyone’s typically looking for tips, tricks, and shortcuts to starting a business instead of embracing the hard work that it takes to build things from the bottom up. Hard work builds experience to deal with the problems that arise as you become more successful. Also addresses some specific things insightful thoughts on millenials entering the workforce and building a career. (I especially love this as my youngest sister is from the generation and it’s great to help me share thoughts with and encourage her.) Gosh. “Each step of experience you gain is also building you as a person.” Love.
Simple Peppermint Ice Cream posted on Poppytalk – YUM. This looks super yummy and simple, and I can’t wait to try it.
Letter to my Teen Self – great scrapbook page from Michelle this week. I love that she also shares thoughts on focusing so much on the design of the page, that the story sometimes takes a back seat. (And ps, the design is fabulous on this page.)
