I had so hoped to have my first chapter ready for the women and handmade business posts before the end of January. But since I don’t, I wanted to offer an update.
I got sick. Blarg. Sometimes your body forces you to stop when you don’t take time to rest. I came down with shingles. And my awesome dr found out that I have a vitamin deficiency that caused my immune system to suppress. Ugh. I hate admitting I’m human some days. But it’s the truth. And it makes me all the better for it, too.
The good news is I’m better. And getting even more better each day… (I know that’s bad grammar, but geez. What do you say when you have a habit of minimizing things?) I’m able to tackle more all the time. But I’m also dealing with finding out what has been causing our oldest son to have headaches regularly. I’m so happy we’ve found the cause that I could just cry… And smile. And laugh. And say a prayer of thanks. It’s something easily dealt with, but will require weekly doctor’s visits for the next few months. It’ll be a busy time, but well worth the effort. Most parents would do anything to ease their kid’s struggles, and we’re no different.
My goal for my first post is before valentines day. It’s going to be awesome. And uniquely tailored to women wanting to start, and grow their handmade business. It’s definitely not any kind of magic bullet, but I’ll be sharing my personal experience and what has worked for me. And the most important part? It’s doable. I so can’t wait to share. This is something on my heart that I really want to do. I have a vision for sharing what I’ve learned to help others become successful, and this is a big part of it.
And, no worries! The shop is still in full working order! I just haven’t had the time for extra writing, and I want to be very thorough when I put this first post together!
Happy Super Bowl Sunday!
