Happy International Women’s Day!
I have been thinking a lot over the last few weeks about a way to celebrate this day in a positive, non-political way, that shines the light on our potential and strengths as women and as business owners, while promoting the idea of cooperation over competition.
So I got in touch with some of my favorite business women, whose work I love and whose businesses aren’t just about supporting their families, but also about supporting WOMEN.
Each of these awesome ladies is featured below– check out their businesses, follow them on social media and enter the to win our International Women’s Day Prize Bundle!

What impact do you want your business to have on others?
I want to make people happy!! When customers receive my prints, postcards, art journal, telephone cases, beautifully wrapped and packed, with their name handwritten in beautiful letters on the mailbox / envelop, they feel special. It’s just a little box of happiness delivered to their doorstep 🙂
When they follow me online, they tell me I inspire them, make them feel happy and positive. That’s just amazing, and makes me feel so happy & grateful in return!
I love to teach the sweethearts who follow my online classes, the freedom of playing with your art supplies. I give them permission to play and they need to give that to themselves also. It just feels so good to bring a smile on somebody’s face.

I want women to creatively document the stories of their lives. Women’s voices have been silenced (and in some places are still silenced) and relegated to the sidelines for far too long. We have a responsibility to our stories. Each of us is both a unique snowflake and a single cog in a great machine. Creative self-storytelling is hard work, but it’s work worth doing. What I want to do is make creative storytelling easy, accessible, and engaging. I want to make it easier for women to get started on their creative self-storytelling journey, and discover new, unique, and empowering forms of self-discovery.

I love style that’s practical, and building my business around products that give my customers a way to not only be comfortable while they work (or use their camera for everyday), but to also feel stylish and express their personality is super exciting for me. I love that I’m supporting people who understand the beauty and impact of photography and capturing memories!

What impact do you want your business to have on others?
I admittedly haven’t thought too much about that. I suppose more than anything I just hope that others see through hard work and perseverance, anything is possible. I am so flawed and a bit of a scatter brain, but instead of dwelling on all that I am not, I embrace my quirks and use them to my own greater good. We take it one day at a time. Being a mama and trying to wear all these hats outside of that can be hard, but my goodness how fortunate and blessed I feel to do what I love AND provide for my family. Sometimes you just don’t know what you are capable unless you put it all out there.
