{online workshops and classes}
Online workshops are on hold at this time! Other aspects of my business have started to grow, and until I’m able to hire help to fill handmade orders! I’m still planning/working/hoping to start offering these through my website and blog in the upcoming year, as I’ve already started putting together materials to cover! ^_^
I have always had the mindset of a teacher, and love sharing the things that I’ve learned to help others be successful in their journey as well. I’m so looking forward to offering workshops to contribute to the success of your business and life!
Workshops that I host will always be limited in size to give participants personal attention, and to help you get the most from your experience. Guest workshops are held at the hostess’ discretion.
Workshop prices are set with the value of the information and materials in mind, the goal to keep workshop size limited, and also the goal to keep a price accessible to those just starting a small or handmade business.
photography for your handmade business – we all know how important photography is to your online, handmade business! It’s the way you connect with your customers. They can’t see, feel, or touch your items in real life, so the only way they can experience your products is through your photography! Great photographs can also draw in press and additional exposure through things like treasury features on Etsy! ^_^
In this two week workshop, I’ll offer tips on:
~ styling your photos
~ creating a photography style that reflects the feel of your brand
~ building a simple background for photographing your products
~ simple editing and equipment info to get you started in the right direction
~ a forum for a brief, constructive critique on the photos in your shop
Workshop instruction will include access to daily blog posts for the week, a pdf of class materials for printing, and worksheets & assignments to help you find and develop the photography “style” of your shop. We’ll have one live chat session for question and answer time, and a video tutorial on a topic to be announced. It will also include a private facebook group to discuss class materials and network with other handmade business owners.

recognize – the importance of branding your handmade business - a brand is more than your packaging or website. It’s a feeling that you invoke in your customers, and it can mightily impact your handmade business. Join me as I share the story of establishing my brand and the impact that a having consistent, high quality, detail oriented approach had on my sales {hint – it was exponential}
Workshop instruction will include access to two weeks of daily blog posts, a .pdf of class materials, a series of worksheets and exercises on finding a look and feel that fits your style, one live question and answer video chat, a list of resources for additional reading, and access to a private facebook group for workshop participants.

beginner sewing – do you own a sewing machine, but can’t stitch a seam? This beginner introduction to sewing will help you get to know your machine – threading, winding the bobbin, adjusting tension, setting different stitches… And once you’re comfortable with the machine, we’ll move on to making several simple projects to build your skills!
