I have always admired Keisha’s elegant sense of style – it’s so evident in everything from her scrapbooking to her home decor. We first met when both of us were on the design team for Jenni Bowlin Studios papercrafts. I love following her inspiring work, and I hope you’ll enjoy getting to know her a bit more!
Today I’m excited to share more about fellow scrapbooker and photographer Keisha Campbell with you!
Keisha began scrapbooking in 2003 not long after the birth of her second daughter. It took her a few months to discover the online scrapbooking world, but seeing so many different ideas on how to scrapbook online helped her to find her style. Within a year she was on her first design team. Since ten Keisha has been very lucky to be a part of many amazing design teams and has worked for some of the best companies in the industry. Keisha has been married for 19 years to her childhood sweetheart. She has two sweet girls Amira & Mikiela and two silly dogs Lulu & Jasper. After moving around as a military family for many years, they have happily settled down in Virginia. To see more of Keisha’s work, visit her blog A Bit East Coast.
How long have you been a scrapbooker and a photographer?
I started scrapbooking in 2003 and soon after I had to invest in a digital camera.
What made you decide to pursue scrapbooking and photography?
My love of scrapbooking led me into wanting to take better photos. I wanted the best photos for my scrapbooking layouts and for me to decorate my home with.
How has your scrapbooking/photography evolved over the years?
Both my photography and scrapbooking have become a lot better. I don’t scrapbook as much as I used too. With my photography-I am more focused on becoming a better iPhone photographer. I’d rather have beautiful smartphone photos so I don’t have to carry a bulky digital camera & lens around. I will often leave my digital camera home so I will have to depend on taking good smartphone photos.
What kind of camera(s) do you own and what role do they play in your life?
I am on my second Canon-a 450D. I have had this for years and I still have a lot to learn. I haven’t upgraded because I am not ready to start over learning a new camera. I use my camera everyday to photograph my projects. For my everyday moments I use my iPhone so much more.
Keisha’s strap of choice, the Latte Lace scarf camera strap, is the perfect compliment to her simple yet classy style.
What do you love most about your bluebird chic strap?
It’s beautiful color and lace. I am not into wearing a lot of color-I wear jeans daily with neutral colors. I love black. So I wanted a strap that would not stand out from my usual attire. I wanted something that would blend in with my style and compliment my everyday look. No matter what I wear this strap will go with my outfit.
