looking to connect with customers in 2018? join me for a new class on Skillshare

December 10, 2017

Hey, everyone!

In the midst of the final holiday rush, I admit – I’m also working hard on setting new goals, and doing lots of planning for 2018 already. It’s a a pretty normal place for business owners to be in – working for the present moment, and planning ahead for the future. That’s how we keep things working and moving forward!

As a part of your planning, I hope you’ll join me for the new class that I’ve created on Skillshare called  Creating a Customer Persona to Help Guide Product Development. I spent a lot of years in business before creating a customer persona at all, but after several classes (and a few failed products), I’ve come to understand just how important they are for product design and business in general in reaching your customers with your products and marketing.

I’ve taken what I’ve learned and condensed it into a 38 minute class with a worksheet for your persona, and a warmup creative exercise using magazines to give you a hands on, tangible example of branding and appealing to a specific customer.

I’ll admit it – going over this information to share with others even pushed me to think about my own customer personas and ways I may have strayed off course in reaching my own  ideal customer. It’s been the perfect way to start my planning for the coming year, even as a veteran business owner. And if you’re new to this whole business thing, you’ll be one huge step ahead when you finish this class.

One of my big goals for 2018 is working up the courage to share more of my heart and passion to helping others grow their small business to be profitable, fulfilling, and sustainable. This class is joining my first ever class for Skillshare that I published a couple of years ago, Intro to Product Development for Small Businesses, where I share some tips on how to get inspired to develop great products for your small business.

Here’s to an amazing 2018 business year!
