Just a few photos from yesterday! I cheated {not really!} by freezing half of my cookie dough and undipped red velvet cake balls at Christmas time to make for Valentines! We don’t eat sweets super fast around here, so if I have more than one kind of treat, they don’t get eaten. Waste not, want not.
Our youngest was all into cutting them out – until his favorite scene from Tangled came on in the other room. {of course, the one where the mean witch bites the dust and Eugene dies. Typical boy.} It was all good. Since it was only a half batch, it only took a few minutes to get them all cut.
All finished:
Yum. We had lots of treats around here, especially since I filled a treat pillow pocket for each of them. I need to snap a photo of the second pocket. I did a blue one with red and white hearts.
And we’re getting started on our seedlings soon for our urban garden project! We picked up a tray to plant them in, and still need to find the tomato and pepper seeds to start. I went with Martha Stewart because they’re organic, and that’s really important to me. And because I ordered a catalog from Seeds of Change and have yet to see it. Hmm. I need to go check on that. Oh, wow! They’re having a sale through March 31st! Glad I peeked in on the website! Sorry, I wander sometimes…
As soon as we get a bit more going and I have photos, I’ll write a post all about our urban garden project. I can’t wait to get things settled for our plot and start planting!
Other than that, I’m working on a few cleaning and organizing projects. Agonizing process {can you say, boring?!}, but it makes life so much easier as a whole, so it’s gotta be done! I’m also looking forward to a series of interviews that I’m starting to arrange! So exciting!
