camera straps, photography inspiration

the sunday post – november 16

November 16, 2014

The sunday post is a weekly collection of links to things that have caught my eye around the interwebs. It’s intended to inspire, inform, and engage with you on everything from current events, to business, art, or crafting. You can find past Sunday Post entries here.

12 drawing tips: learn ways to draw better from leading illustrators – I want to print these out and hang them on my studio space wall. I love so many of these – “it’s important to strike the right balance between imagination and reality, because what i make needs to be instantly recognisable and unique at the same time”.

7 reasons why we’re never doing elf on the shelf – OMGosh. I laughed out loud. This is SO me. And yes, all dolls creep me out. They always have. I refused to play with anything other than Barbies and Cabbage Patch when I was a kid.

artist interview – Caroline Alkire for frankie magazine – stunning collage art that’s super inspiring. Made of tons of magazine clippings.

budding infinity knitted scarf pattern by purl arenne – in spite of the fact that I have no time whatsoever, I may give this one a go. I’ve really been wanted to knit lately. I think because the repetition of an intricate pattern has a calming effect on me.

current obsession – sashiko stitching techniques. I’ll be breaking out my needles and thread. I’ve pinned tons on my “stitching” board if you want to check it out.

Enjoy a lovely sunday!
