bluebird chic

camera straps, photography inspiration

the snowy north

February 18, 2014

We’re enjoying taking in our share of snowy weather as we traveled to the area I grew up in. I’ll say we’ve had our share of adventures this go round, getting caught traveling in two different snow storms, and not quite catching the hot chocolate laden barf flying out of the backseat. Oh, the stories we could tell…

It’s fun. And I’m thankful that my husband is a good sport for all of this bad weather. And getting puked on. Because we do genuinely have a great time when we’re here. We get to hang out endlessly with family who take turns whisking our boys away to fun activities like movies, snow sledding, and trips to grab their favorite drinks (vanilla bean frappicinos) from Starbucks. Having all of the extra hands around gives us a tremendous break from the full time duties of being parents.

While we’re away, I’ve also got 25% off all items in the shop as a thank you for your patience in a little bit of lag in ship time! To grab the coupon code, just check in on the main shop page for bluebird chic on Etsy. You can see the coupon code in the shop announcement portion!

Yep! That’s my hometown! We’ve been hanging out with the family. We were in Cheryl Ann to check out bridal gowns for my sis and be fitted for bridesmaid dresses for our brother’s wedding. ๐Ÿ˜‰

OK, this makes more sense now. No matter how hard I try I can’t seem to associate you with Florida. You totally have a midwest vibe going on.
