Hi! I’m Leah Farquharson, the owner of Bluebird Chic. I live in the Miami metropolitan area with my engineer husband and our two boys. Bluebird Chic really grew out of my love of photography. I was carrying my camera around with me everywhere, and the strap that came with it kept cutting into my neck. One day I decided to put my sewing skills to work to create something more comfortable, and I came up with a camera strap cover that I loved. As years have passed, the products that I create have evolved, but they always stay centered around the idea of comfort, strength and sense of style – whether it’s a bit quirky, or chic for a special occasion.

As a business owner, my products are inspired by what I love – fashion, photography, art, and nature – coupled with a strong emphasis on practicality. I want them to be beautiful, functional, and inspiring.
Whenever possible, my supplies are sourced from small businesses, or other etsy sellers and artists, because it’s important to me to support other small business owners.
I currently have a virtual assistant, Amy, who helps out with listings, blog posts, social media, and graphics work for Bluebird Chic.
