I’ll admit it. I’ve had my moments of jealousy. But the more I grow, the more I’ve found this statement to be true. So, you’ve just opened your business, and just have a few sales – you see someone experiencing success with their sales, and wish you had that. But do you know what she deals with every day? And are you sure that you could even handle having that volume of sales at the moment? Would you have the supplies or the time to be able to fill ten, twenty, or even fifty orders if they rolled in today? Would you know how to handle guest blogging posts or webcasts, or features?
I’ve found that instead of putting my time and effort into jealousy, if I take the equal amount of time and effort and invest it in my business, it begins to grow at a rate that I can handle. And adjust to as I need to. Start by putting my feet on the ground and investing time into creating great blog posts, products, and promoting my business through my chosen outlets, and guess what? I hear opportunities knocking.
The more I work on myself, the more opportunities arise. Fact.

Leah, thank you for posting this! I struggle with this deep down inside. I’m on design teams with such a big names that I start to compare apples to oranges. Truth is, I’m NOT ready for their kind of success and if I want things to happen organically, I should just enjoy my journey! <3

Great reminder that the grass is not always greener. Hard work reaps it’s own rewards..
