I think the coolest thing about this recipe – besides the fact that it’s totally delicious – is that you can literally throw it together in 10 minutes. Which, makes it totally perfect for quick summer barbecues that you don’t want to have to put a ton of energy into. I throw it together with burgers of any shape or size, add a side of baked beans and maybe watermelon, and we’ve got the perfect dinner.
Classic American Coleslaw
1 package of pre-shredded coleslaw mix (usually traditional cabbage + purple cabbage + carrots)
1 c mayo
1/3 c. powdered sugar
1 stalk of celery diced very fine
salt & fresh ground pepper to taste
Toss the shredded cabbage mix into a medium sized bowl with the celery. Add the mayo, powdered sugar, salt & fresh ground pepper. Toss until the cabbage is fully coated. Enjoy along side your favorite summer meals.
