I know I said I wasn’t going to blog until I got back from quilt market, but I’ve had a change of heart. (And the fact that I seem to be finally crossing over the worst of the sinus infection I’m fighting doesn’t hurt.) I love writing, posting, and sharing, so, here goes!
The Sunday Post is a collection of links to articles, photos, and blogs around the interwebs that caught my eye this week! They can be anything from science and business news, to artwork, a scrapbook page, touching story – anything that concerns, uplifts, or inspires me! To see past Sunday Post entries, you can check them out here.
the truth about the tiger mother’s family – I don’t agree with any form of verbal or physical abuse AT ALL, but I do believe in “tough love”. I can relate to a lot of what she says, though I think we fall somewhere closer to the middle on this – not quite so strict. But we are meanies, and don’t allow a lot of tv or video game time, and school must come first.
seven things that mark cuban said that made me work harder than ever – this rings SO TRUE if you own or run any sort of business. Words on hard work, and staying motivated.
leah duncan’s website – I love her fabric collections and took a moment to look her up online. Amazing, inspiring artist. Lots of pretty photos.
how to make an insanely powerful business card – psst. hint: the first line states, “it can’t be worth throwing away”. He says things like, “you want it to sit on their desk forever…” Yes. All of this. He brought up some really great things that I never thought about before. Now get designing!
13 of the most striking images captured by “humans of new york” photographer’s world tour – if you don’t already follow humans of new york, you should. Brandon Stanton is all about telling stories, and sharing how we’re all humans, and all connected – no matter where we’re from, what we look like.
Jen Hewett’s blog – she’s a printmaker. As in, she makes prints by hand. I think I may have wiped a bit of drool as I scrolled through her blog and shop.
52 colorized images of historical photos that give us a new look at the past – no other words necessary. Just scroll through – Eintein, Monet, Jimmy Stewart, Picasso…
Enjoy and be inspired for an amazing week ahead!
