I had a fun surprise a couple of days ago when the bell rang and a special package was dropped at the door! The amazing people at Mollie Makes magazine had sent me a copy of issues 59 and 60, since I had a couple of commissioned projects featured in each.
Most of my professional photography work right now revolves around doing commissioned work for the print magazines Mollie Makes, and Simply Sewing. I share peeks at most of my projects on my personal blog over here. These two particular issues feature a set of slippers on the left, and a wash bag and shaving cream recipe on the right. I love working as a contributor – it gives me a chance to use my photography and crafting skills together, keeps me sharp for hitting deadlines, and is flexible for my schedule.
If you ever get a chance to check out an issue, I highly recommend them. I love the quality of the magazines, and also love supporting a publishing company that believes in paying it’s contributors.
